Netiquette is a system of social grace on the Internet. Sales and marketing specialists especially should be aware of and practice proper Internet communication styles. After all, these communications represent not only themselves, but also their companies.

Students, too, should begin develop good business practices for Internet usage. While it may be acceptable to email friends and family with messages typed all in lower case, or without much attention to sentence construction, punctuation and spelling, you would not want your business communications to look this informal.
