Chapter 16: Site Design
Modularize

Break large pages into modules, with the original page having links to each of the smaller pieces.

Often sites have a tree-like structure with branches for each logical collection of information, and menus describing what is connected to the main page.

The top of the each page should be designed so that there is something to read while the images are loading. The entry page of a site should be the fastest page to load and the top part of the entry page should be the fastest of all.
